Ambassador 20023

Junior Ambassador of Archery GB!
Huge Congratulations to Amy!

Leith Community Archers Amy Fyvie has been successfully appointed as part of a new group of  inspirational young Archery GB Ambassadors for 2023

Archery GB Ambassadors are a team of inspirational volunteers who want to encourage more people to get into archery, feel welcomed at clubs and develop a love for the sport.

The role of an Archery GB Ambassador :

  • Promote and develop archery in their local communities and help their club grow and develop
  • Provide insight and feedback to Archery GB to influence the future direction of the sport
  • Share their story and passion for archery to inspire others to participate and volunteer
  • Be a positive role model, helping everyone to enjoy the sport
  • Work together as a team of Ambassadors and Mentors
  • Educate, innovate, challenge and inspire.

Amy has signed up to support the programme for a minimum of two years and will be provided with kit, training opportunities, mentored support, resources, equipment, and opportunities to work together with other Junior ambassadors. While the Ambassadors promote Archery and represent Archery GB, processes are in place to keep them safe.

Huge Thanks to Costco! in partnership with United Way UK Give Local 2022.

Huge Thanks to Costco! in partnership with United Way UK Give Local 2022.

Leith Community Archers were recently awarded £1500 from United Way UK Give Local 2022 grants in partnership with Costco.  This will help us greatly maintain the existing equipment and purchase new equipment for our Archery sessions at Leith Academy on Thursday nights.

Give local is a brilliant idea that makes grants available to smaller charities and charitable organisations at a local level.  For more information visit https://www.unitedway.org.uk/give-local

We are delighted with the award and wanted to give a Big Thanks to both United Way UK Give Local and Costco for £1500 grant.  We have a very happy equipment officer at LCA who is making use of the award to upgrade, maintain and procure materials and equipment. And that means we can keep providing Archery and Archery instruction to the local community in Leith.
